Top Ten Books Tori Would Love To See As A Movie/TV Show (8)

This is an event hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week is books that I would love to see as a movie or TV show!

1. Stolen by Lucy Christopher
I'd want this to be a movie. This book is just simply amazing. The way Christopher writes...it captures the emotions of Gemma so amazingly. Obviously I don't know what it's like to be kidnapped by a hot guy, but I'm sure that the way Christopher writes Gemma's thoughts and feelings is how I'd feel.

2. Eve by Anna Carey
In my opinion, I think this would make an interesting TV series. I mean, it would take the right directer and screenplay writer to make this book into a good TV series, but I can see it in my head being pretty great.

3. Free Falling by Kirsty Moseley
This would make a good movie. It had the right elements--creepiness, romance, and a hint of humor--to make a pretty great YA movie production.

4. Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
I can see this being a TV series. I can imagine in my head Juliette counting things in her prison cell and writing in her notebook. There are so many cliffhangers throughout the series that I can just picture what each episode would end up being like.

5. How My Summer Went Up in Flames by Jennifer Salvato Doktorski
If this were a movie, it would be such a funny, light-hearted movie that I would have to buy it when it came out on DVD. Rosie is just such a hilarious character. My only hopes would be that the movie would do a better job in making their characters more memorable.

6. Cinder by Marissa Meyer
I can literally picture in my mind the different episodes that could be shown on TV for this. The first chapter in Cinder would create such a great beginning in a TV series. In my opinion, I would call the TV series Lunar since the second book Scarlet is mostly about Scarlet.

7. I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga
Seriously. If you've read this book and you've seen crime movies and shows, you would understand how great this book would be if it were a big budget movie production. That's the biggest part though: big budget. I don't think they'd be able to pull this off without a pretty fat budget. I would only trust the best with this. (Same with Cinder. If the best aren't producing that TV series, I'll be so sad.)

8. Nightshade by Andre Cremer
TV series. No doubt. So much happens in this trilogy. And no doubt the producers would be able to add more to the plot (like in The Vampire Diaries and Under The Dome) to make it thicker and better than the books (even though the books were great). If they ever create a TV series, I can't wait to see who they cast as Ren. Like hello sexy godlike being.

9. Eve and Adam by Michael Grant and Katherine Applegate
I love science fiction, and with the right crew I'm sure this movie would be great. Of course they'd need a good chunk of money to pull off the special effects in this. I could just imagine this as a movie. It would be so great.

10. The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
These books are just so fat and full of fantasy and full of romance and full of cliffhangers and full of amazing things. Each book (The Unbecoming on Mara Dyer, The Evolution of Mara Dyer, The Retribution of Mara Dyer) would create great seasons. Three seasons. Sounds pretty great.

  1. Stolen was on my list as well! :) And I agree about Nightshade, it would make a really great TV series with all that happens in the books. Interesting list!
